When was the last time you took 30 minutes just for you?
I have this theory (though, to be fair, I’m pretty sure it’s not mine and I picked it up along my healing journey).
If you take 30 minutes a day to build a new habit, you’re able to comfortably invest in yourself for longer periods of time.
Investing in yourself can look like:
30 minutes a day to yourself, over 3 months, can help you change patterns and build new habits.
Fun fact about pattern change: it takes way longer than we think to actually change.
Fun fact #2: adopting too many changes at one time can make it impossible to see lasting change or build new habits.
If you want to see real change:
1) pick 1 thing to work on
2) do that daily (or at least 4-5 days out of the week) for 12 weeks.
In Eastern philosophy, 12 weeks is a cycle of change.
If working with a licensed therapist or mental health professional is on your list, book a discovery call with me for After-Therapy® 1×1. I work with my After-Therapy® clients for a minimum of 12 weeks because again, that’s how long it takes to start seeing change.
