I believe forward movement requires modern ways of thinking.
Which is why I combined my clinical training in psychotherapy models with holistic tools and spiritual practices to create my Forward Model of Change®. With a commitment to show up in my humanness so you can too, I offer you permission to shift your patterns and propel yourself forward.
I’m a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Therapist and Coach for wholeness seekers, trapped achievers, karmic breakers, family shakers, and emotional feelers, and the founder of Forward Healing.
I believe we all experience events throughout our lives that not only aid us in creating a unique perspective through which we see the world, but that can also impact our quality of life.
We’ll take the experiences that you have had, lay them out, see where you are feeling hindered or where you want to expand. Then we build new structures that allow you to process what holds you back. My methodology is influenced by my belief that identifying our limitations, recognizing our patterns allows us to practice authentic self-care which moves you forward towards your goals.
Jakie’s Tools: CPT CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Self-compassion, FMT
I believe each of us is on our own healing journey, unique to each and every one of us.
I work with individuals 18 + who struggle with understanding their trauma, substance use patterns, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and life changes. I take a Harm Reduction approach to help you better understand yourself. We’ll work collaboratively to find an approach that will help you find your inner peace. My trained therapy dog, Bindi, may join us for our sessions.
Alyssa’s tools: EMDR, CBT, DBT, Harm Reduction skills, Mindfulness, Self-compassion, walk + talk, animal assistance
I believe healing is a process; with each layer we shed through healing, our values will shift and grow.
I work with teenagers + adults who are experiencing conflict in their life, are navigating life transitions, who struggle with the uncertainty of becoming an adult. My approach is one of both holding safe space without judgement, and having direct conversations that will promote healing on your journey.
Regina’s tools: DBT, mindfulness, CBT, and behavioral therapy
I believe that all healing starts with developing a sense of connection and empathy with yourself and others.
I am the therapist for you if you are looking to connect to yourself more fully, understand how your trauma impacts you day to day, and desire to work with someone who recognizes that we are all messy human beings. I will provide you with a safe place to land and feedback in the form of a gentle nudge that guides you towards meeting your goals. Throughout our time together, we will focus on understanding the systems that impact who you are, examine your environment and challenge the beliefs that you have about yourself.
Bryn's tools: CBT, Feminist Multicultural Therapy, EMDR, DBT and Mindful Self Compassion
I believe in the transformative power of honesty and courage to own our unique stories, and the empathy and profound human connection that emerge through understanding and accepting our vulnerability.
I work with both individuals and couples who are 18 years and older. If you are going through a serious transition, dealing with ongoing stress, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, disordered eating, or relationship issues, these are all areas to which I am especially attuned and sensitive. I have often found that after much struggle, my clients want to come back home to their bodies; to learn to recognize, understand, and navigate their emotions; to honor their whole, unique self; to establish and maintain healthy boundaries with others. I enjoy every facet of working with my clients towards their personal goals. Together we can explore and clarify your priorities, notice setbacks, re-calibrate, and hone the focus on living your true values.
Sarah's tools: CBT, Mindfulness, Self-Compassion, Person-Centered, Walk + Talk, Somatic Techniques
In order to imagine a better future for yourself, you must acknowledge, welcome, and process your past emotional experience. As a University of Utah School of Social Work student, my desire is to empower you to heal your generational trauma, understand and separate from societal expectations, identify your values and begin living within those values. When we work together, my priority is building your trust in our relationship. This looks like me listening, providing feedback, or offering tools. This allows us to holistically work on what brought you into my office. Then, we can
understand the systems that affect your personal life, which enables you to take
practical action towards the changes you crave.
I work with individuals 14 and up, who desire to gain deeper insight into their patterns, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and explore what makes them unique. I have extensive experience with at-risk teens and the LGBTQ+ community, which have significantly shaped the way that I support and work with clients.
Jess's tools: ACT, Mindfulness, CBT, some behavior therapy tools, Grief Support, DBT Techniques
Are you struggling with finding joy, contentment, and hope during this moment in your life? Are you looking to understand yourself in a way that can lead to actual meaningful change? Does fear, worry, and anger seem like an ever present cloud hanging over you? If this sounds like you, know you are not alone. Many folks have been in your same shoes, and there is a way for life to be different. Together, the two of us can learn more about how to tune into yourself to find what you need, and develop the skills you need to go and get it for yourself.
I became a therapist because I have seen how therapy can help those in their lowest moments find hope again. My approach is anchored in helping my clients build self-compassion to embrace themselves and understand the barriers preventing them from becoming the person they want to be.
I work with individuals who are 12 and up desiring support for their depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD or want to explore more fully the life transitions they are in.
Taylor's tools: Exposure therapy, DBT, Attachment theory, and Polyvagal theory
