Start

THERAPY

We start by building a safe and trusting environment, while working to build coping skills and dis-stress tolerance skills.
When you first start on your healing journey, our priority is creating a safe environment, empowering you to navigate what’s ahead, and building a strong foundation to heal forward. Receive a diagnosis and psychoeducation, experience a sense of safety, trust, connection, and learn coping skills, life management, dis-stress tolerance techniques.

Awareness + Understanding

THERAPY

Experience therapeutic intervention, process feedback, seek advice and receive validation, and be able to put language to what’s coming up. Our forward model of change starts with awareness and understanding cultivated in a therapeutic relationship. We’ll work together to help you process and communicate about your current experience. You'll come to know why things are happening, name and articulate thoughts, feelings, emotions, and experiences, understand what is coming up, and seek advice instead of validation.

Reflect + Recognize

THERAPY

Connect your past and present patterns, learn to tolerate discomfort, and engage in ways to make different choices. In the second phase of the Forward Healing Model of Change®, we’ll take you deeper into your therapeutic journey, during which, you’ll build your capacity to make different choices. It’s not uncommon at this point in your process to feel trapped, question whether or not you’re on the right path, seek additional support, and perhaps even return to old patterns. You'll connect the dots between past and present via “because," recognize patterns by watching yourself make mistakes, and experiencing normal discomfort, and acknowledge when you can make a choice, choosing differently than in the past, start reclaiming your identity.

Process Change

AFTER THERAPY®

You’ll start to notice your relationship, environment and perspective shift as you process changes in your life. In phase 3 of the Forward Healing process, you’ll shift from Therapy to After Therapy® in order to process change. Your relationship will exist in a therapeutic coaching environment, which is less focused on acute care, and more geared towards sustainable change. In this phase you seek changes, set boundaries, know when to ask for help, and become more open to failure. You'll question: “What is life?”, shift in relationships to yourself, the things around you, and in your environment, and acknowledge that you’re craving for someone to root you on.
